The series was born from a deep desire to pause and reconnect—with curiosity, awe and the quiet moments that remind us how vast and beautiful the world can be when we truly look.

I wanted to capture the sensation, of the world standing still, while something inside expands. Treasuring the moments that fleet and captivate us, here in one moment and gone the next.

Wonder-series is an oilpainting series where I explore the sense of wonder; a feeling of amazement and admiration, caused by something beautiful, remarkable or unfamiliar. My parents have told me that I was quite of a daydreamer as a child, often getting lost in the small beautiful details of my surroundings. I believe there is that side to me to this day. But sometimes we seem to lose that side to ourselves, being swept by the worries of this world. During the dark times I've felt that the sense of wonder wonder—those glimpses of light—have given me hope and strength to carry on.

With this series I wanted to dive into that sense of wonder and awe. I truly believe that when the world seems bleak, we just need the eyes to see; the undeniable beauty that drips to us when we dare to look closely.
